Creating two independent major retailers without interrupting supermarket operations.
Sustainabylt delivered the separation of a large existing retail tenancy into independent Kmart and Coles facilities during COVID-19 restrictions and heightened supermarket demand.
The project required extensive mechanical, electrical and fire services separation, fire-rated construction, hazardous material removal, accessible facilities and staff amenity upgrades.
Works were coordinated around uninterrupted Coles trading, with daily handovers to the incoming Kmart contractor and staged management of operational interfaces.
Outcome
Delivered on programme and within budget despite COVID restrictions, maintaining continuous supermarket operations throughout construction.
