Sensitive coastal infrastructure integrating public access, cultural heritage and environmental protection.
Sustainabylt delivered approximately 600 metres of coastal walking track through culturally and environmentally significant headland terrain, incorporating commissioned public artworks.
The project utilised fibre-reinforced polymer materials and a concrete-free footing system to minimise ground disturbance and environmental impact.
Construction required careful management of sensitive terrain, public access and cultural considerations, together with alternative procurement arrangements following the liquidation of a key supplier.
Outcome
Delivered on programme, incorporating client-directed scope increases while overcoming significant supply-chain and site constraints.
