On Friday the 4^th September the 2009 Housing Industry Association (HIA) North East Regional Housing Awards were held at the Commercial Club, Albury. We are proud and excited to announce that Sustainabylt won the following prestigious award:

· Custom Built Homes Up to $350,000 - 9a Thomas Mitchell Drive, Wodonga.

Alex, Sharelle, Sam & Kathy Stravakos are also pleased to announce their business’s recognition in the following categories:

· Finalist – Energy Efficient Housing of the Year – 9a Thomas Mitchell Drive, Wodonga.

HIA awards are held in the highest regard within the Australian Housing Community and are known as Victoria’s most distinguished Housing Awards program. Furthermore, each year, the HIA awards’ program receives acclaim for its fairness and attention to detail.

The HIA North East Regional Housing Awards recognise the achievements of those who lead the way in the construction, design, innovation and technology of housing. They applaud those who drive to deliver quality homes that are both attractive, affordable and will stand the test of time. In their comments on the property the judges remarked

“Good design efficiency with the main bedroom and all living areas on the ground floor, meeting the owner’s requirements as the family is all but moved out”

In his acceptance speech on behalf of the Sustainabylt team Alex Stravakos stated “This is the first time Sustainabylt has entered these awards and it is a real privilege to be recognized for the work we are doing here in North East Victoria. We want to acknowledge the outstanding work of all in our team including our sub-contractors and suppliers and of course the clients – Gary & Lisa – for giving us such an exciting project to tackle.”
